A beginner class for heritage language learners to become more confident in the language. Learners only need to know at least the Arabic alphabet to get started.

An Urdu language learning class for absolute beginners. You can be a heritage learner or new to the language. Knowing the Arabic alphabet is beneficial, but not a must. Roman script will be used often, but will slowly be removed as learners begin to memorize words and phrases.

These classes will make you think deeper whether you’re studying ancients, age of exploration, or just love maps for the sake of humanity like I do! You’ll definitely go away with something new every class. 

Maps are an amazing gateway into the history of the world, people, and cultures.   Students will analyze maps to find out what determines the make of a map. Using the first maps known to humans, we will progress through history as maps become more complex, detailed, and accurate. Every week, learners will create their own maps to replicate meaningful yet simplistic maps of the past or complex maps to shape the future.

A truly unique Islamic Calligraphy class focused on the fascinating beauty of Islamic Art covering the delicate technique of traditional Arabic calligraphy.

Demonstrations and tutorials with an opportunity for students to explore their artistic abilities and produce their own creative works with a range of equipment. A chance for students to develop a deep appreciation for Islamic art and heritage

This engaging program, designed for students in grades 5-12, provides a comprehensive introduction to the Spanish language.

Throughout the course, students will build a solid foundation in Spanish, mastering essential vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation. Our experienced instructor will utilize fun activities, multimedia resources, and real-life scenarios to foster an enjoyable and interactive learning experience.

By the end of the summer, participants will have gained the confidence to hold basic conversations and express themselves in Spanish. Following Urdu 1, absolute beginners will learn to introduce themselves, and hold a simple conversation. Learners will continue to share about themselves and family based on traits, descriptions, and emotions.

We will build from basic phrases to sentences in each class. By the final class, learners will be able to exchange and share information in Urdu. A vocabulary sheet will be provided with Urdu script, separated Urdu letters, transliteration, and translation of the words used specific to the class.

The course is grounded in the rich tradition of Islamic art, and our journey through the art world will traverse various forms, including abstract florals, lush landscapes, galaxies, and still life.

The course is a vibrant exploration of the natural beauty that surrounds us, the exercises promise not only to hone your artistic skills but also to provide a source of inspiration, adding a touch of beauty to your personal collection.

To create these masterpieces, we will be exploring a variety of mediums including watercolor pencils, oil pastels, acrylics, color pencils, and colored markers.
