Canvas automatically sets your notifications to a certain frequency, but students often find the frequent email notifications annoying. To toggle what and when you receive emails from Canvas, open your Canvas Dashboard and click Account (in the blue menu on the left) > Settings. A list of notification categories will show up, each with an icon across from it.
Each icon represents a frequency with which notifications for that category are sent to you.
For each category of notifications, you can choose how often you want Canvas to send you email notifications.
